A Handy Tool For Occasional Picture Framers

If you need to frame a just a few pictures, perhaps you are an artist or a photographer preparing for an exhibition but can’t justify the expense of professional equipment, then this tool may be of use to you.  The Fletcher Push Mate is designed to secure boards into frames with the minimum of fuss. It is very easy to use and a lot cheaper than the alternatives. The Push Mate costs £8.50 and is available here.

The Pushmate is supplied with a small pack of push points which are pressed into the rebate of the frame behind the boards and glass holding everything securely. The tool is shaped to hold the points in position while pushing. Push points can be removed with a quick twist of a flat headed screw driver to allow the picture to be swapped.
