During a recent trip to London I managed to find time for a couple of hours at the Tate Modern. The collection display Structure and Clarity had a number of works by some of the 20th century’s leading contemporary artists. The images above  illustrate a few of the various styles of inlay frames used,  some as used or specified by the artist and some by the museum when the work was unframed when aquired.
