I made 5 large inlay frames for a customers stretched canvases. They were delivered to Cardiff and my customer kindly sent a photograph after he had fitted the canvases. I can see the other frames behind, waiting to be hung.
The frames were simple 30mm wide inlay frames to fit 20mm deep canvases. the frames were painted black and waxed to protect the frame and provide an attractive finish. The canvases are held in place using small brass flexible plates.
This is one of our inlay frames with a canvas fitted. The canvas is held in place by the four flexible brass plates you can see in each corner. The square hangars hold the canvas securely against the wall and the tape provides a professional finish. Ready to exhibit and sell! Completed or self-assembly frames are available via our website at http://www.ashcraftframing.co.uk.
This is the back of one of our inlay frames. We use the square hangers which mean the frame is held closely to the wall when hung. The back is neatly taped and has frame bumpers to stop the wall being marked, reduce dust build up and allow air to circulate.
